Why an online course suits Australian flyers
Australia is a big country, and many trips that matter involve long flights: interstate to see family, across the Tasman, or overseas to Asia, Europe or the Americas. If you live with flight anxiety, those are exactly the flights you can't avoid, and in-person courses aren't always close to home or on dates that fit.
The Calm Flyers Course is online. You can learn at your own pace, in your own time zone, and rewatch any lesson the night before you fly.
What the course covers
- How flying really works: lift, engines, weather and the backups behind the backups, in plain English.
- Turbulence, demystified: why a bump that feels like a big drop is usually just a bit of altitude lost, and how pilots plan around rough air.
- Every sound and sensation, gate to gate: including the A320 family's famous "barking dog". Preview it in my A320 sounds guide.
- A calm toolkit: slow breathing (in for five, out for five), grounding and thought tools you can use in your seat.
- A flight-day plan: a 72-hour countdown, a printable cabin card and a workbook.
- Lifetime access: pay once, keep it for every future trip.

Long flights from Australia
Long-haul is part of life when you fly from Australia. These free articles help with the longest legs:

If you need more support
Some people need more than a course, and that's completely fine. In-person programmes run by psychologists and pilots are available in some Australian cities, and your GP can talk with you about a referral to a psychologist. CBT-based treatment has good evidence for fear of flying. My course is education from a pilot, not therapy, and works well alongside professional help.

How much is the course in Australian dollars?
The course is priced in US dollars. Planned launch prices are US$69 for the course (about A$98) and US$99 for the Complete edition with in-flight audio (about A$141), at the exchange rate on 23 October 2026. Your bank's rate and card fees may differ, and waitlist members get founding prices first.
